SCD 324 - Sustainable Recreation & Ecotourism3 Credits
Students examine the role of sustainability in the fastest growing economic sector in the United States: hospitality and tourism. Students study the major theories and concepts guiding research and practice of sustainable recreation and its relation to community development. The course highlights critical issues such as over-tourism, rural and urban differences, worker justice, and environmental conservation. Students will engage in community-based learning. This course can be taken as either BUS 324 or SCD 324. Course Fee
