MET 363 - Synoptic Meteorology

Students learn basic techniques for analyzing and forecasting surface and upper-air weather systems. The course focuses on air mass classification, frontal analysis, mandatory height level analysis, standard techniques for displaying weather data, and forecasting by hand and by computer model.
Prerequisites: MET 125 and MTH 140
