Humanities Major Requirements:

1. Students must take at least 15 courses with ART, ENG, GWS, HIS, HUM, MLG, MUS, NAS, PHL, REL, or WRI prefixes (at least 45 credits). Three 1 credit courses can be substituted for a 3 credit humanities course.
2. Among these courses, students must take at least three 3 credit courses in each of three different programs (e.g. three HIS, three GWS and three ART courses, or three REL, three PHL and three ENG courses).
3. Among these courses, students must take at least three 3 credit courses at the 300 level or higher (not including IDS 480).
4. Among these courses, students may count credits from no more than four 1 credit courses toward the minimum of 45 credits.
