An understanding of the climate system will be crucial as we navigate this century’s challenges with climate change. In the climate science major you will study the interactions between Earth’s atmosphere, hydrosphere, cryosphere, lithosphere, and biosphere and learn how these interactions drive climate. You’ll also learn how climate is modeled and gain a better understanding of policy and economics associated with climate change. Finally, you’ll consider what citizens can do to minimize and mitigate climate change.
