IDS 201 - Data Literacy

4 Credits

Students learn about the general characteristics of the scientific method and how to interpret and communicate data. Topics include: epistemology, what is research, general distinctions between qualitative and quantitative methods, and how to develop good research questions. Lecture, demonstration, and experiments will be used to explore these topics.
