ART 403 - Senior Portfolio

3 Credits

Students develop standards for aesthetic judgments and gain insight into their own creative potential through group critique and the study and discussion of the theories of the character and functions of art and artists’ perceptual, conceptual, and motivational processes. Students learn guidelines for portfolios, professional writing, and professional display and documentation of artwork. Students develop their professional writing through multiple drafts and workshops throughout the semester. This class is part studio and part seminar style.

Prerequisites: Instructor consent. Corequisite: ART 490 Independent Study with a studio art focus, 1 credit
