PHY 306 - Classical Mechanics3 Credits
At an advanced level, students investigate the study of mechanics, including kinematics with non-constant acceleration, rotation of rigid bodies, motion in non-inertial reference frames, two-dimensional collisions, and Kepler’s laws of gravitation. The course requires a combination of advanced mathematics and an understanding of fundamental physics. Prerequisites: PHY 111 and MTH 141
