ENG 110 - Introduction to College Writing3 Credits
Students develop skills required to successfully complete writing assignments for collegiate-level courses. Particular focus is given to sentence and paragraph structure, grammar and spelling, critical analysis, thesis statements, and research techniques. Students work on assignments required for their disciplinary courses, develop strategies for effectively engaging in the writing process, and acquire knowledge required to accurately evaluate their own writing. Successful students acquire the confidence and skills required to continue improving their writing after completion of the course. Prerequisites: Writing assessment score which indicates a need for this course.
