CHM 145 - Atmospheric Pollution4 Credits
This course evaluates the many factors affecting global climate, its feedback mechanisms, and climate change. Topics include the global energy balance, the hydrological cycle, radiative transfer, general circulation, and natural and anthropogenic climate change. Students also study greenhouse warming, ozone layer depletion, acid rain, air pollution toxins, and other anthropogenically induced effects. The course is focused on basic concepts of atmospheric science but also includes principles of physics, chemistry and hydrology. Course Fee.
