REL 210 - Study of Religion

Introduction to the academic study of religion that focuses on the role of religion for the individual and society. Utilizing examples from both Western and non-Western traditions, the discussions involved such topics as the importance of myth, ritual, and symbol in religious systems, rationality and religious beliefs, and the psychological and sociological functions of religion.
